OUTSIDE SALES ENGINEER  (NO OPENING)


Columbus Ohio area.

Career oriented only please.

Someone who is personable and likes to help people will excel in this position. 


Responsibilities Include...

Sell boilers, pumps, cooling towers etc to local contractors and end users.

Work with local Engineers to get or keep our products in the specifications.

Work with our bid/spec, inside sales team.

Prepare cost estimates for customers.

Recommend the proper HVAC or process components to be used in projects.

Calculate loads for pumps, boilers, cooling towers, steam heat exchangers, and other hydronic equipment.

Opportunities to teach our industry in our new training facility.

Intermittent overnight travel required for factory training and trade shows.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred but not necessary if skills are intact.

Experience in Mechanical HVAC Sales.

Ability to read and understand pump curves, designs and schematics a plus.

Able to understand HVAC controls a plus.




HVAC/PLUMBING INSIDE SALES  (0 OPENINGS)

Responsibilities

  • Providing product pricing and availability to wholesalers, contractors and end users.
  • Assist our outside sales team with projects and pricing.
  • Recommend to wholesalers, contractors and end users the proper HVAC or process components.
  • Intermittent overnight travel for schools in Chicago and Buffalo NY.


Qualifications

  • Experience in Mechanical HVAC, Plumbing and Process Sales a big plus.




HVAC/PLUMBING OUTSIDE SALES DAYTON AREA (NO OPENING)

HVAC/Plumbing Outside Sales Engineer

Outside sales person to cover the Dayton area. Someone who is personable and likes to help people will accel in this position.

Steffens-Shultz, Inc., a 70-year-old company and one of the premier Manufacturer’s Reps in Ohio, currently has a career position available for an HVAC/Plumbing Sales Engineer to work with our growing team designing and selling commercial, industrial and process equipment to include boilers, pumps, cooling towers, etc. Flexible hours to include working from home, great pay, annual bonuses, 401K/match, profit sharing, PTO, healthcare, disability, dental and vision.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN (NO OPENING)

  • Troubleshoot, service and repair centrifugal pumps.
  • Internal and external inspections of boilers, burners and controls.
  • VFD startup, programming and commissioning.
  • Steam system startup and troubleshooting.
  • Owners demonstration and training contractors/end users on our equipment.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as with a team, able to communicate with managers and customers.
  • Factory authorized training and safety training is available.
  • Service vehicle and tools are provided.


BOILER SERVICE TECHNICIAN  (NO OPENING)

  • Minimum 5 years experience servicing, troubleshooting and repairing commercial/industrial boilers and water heaters.
  • Troubleshoot, service and repair centrifugal pumps.
  • Boiler startup and commissioning.
  • HVAC controls programming and wiring.
  • Internal and external inspections of boilers, burners and controls.
  • Domestic water pressure boosting package startup, programming and commissioning.
  • VFD startup, programming and commissioning.
  • Steam system startup and troubleshooting.
  • Owners demonstration and training contractors/end users on our equipment.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as with a team, able to communicate with managers and customers.
  • Factory authorized training and safety training is available.
  • Service vehicle and tools are provided.


HVAC/PLUMBING ESTIMATOR (NO OPENING) 

  • Review mechanical and plumbing plans to identify products on which to bid.
  • Retrieve documents from online building exchange services and other sources to ensure accurate quotes.
  • Estimate costs of equipment, apply pricing standards and forward quotes to customers.
  • High School Diploma, College preferred.
  • Able to read plans and specifications and compile an accurate equipment take off and summary.
  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Technical sizing and estimating software provided.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Perform multiple task with attention to detail.
  • Pleasant personality and professional appearance.
  • Plumbing and/or HVAC background.
